On Hiatus

Hey, Bill here. We are currently on hiatus. My Pa wants me to go on some dumb business retreat, but I promise we’ll be open again eventually. Although we are on hiatus, you can still send us your submission, we just aren’t sure when you’ll get a response or when Issue 3 will be released, so don’t hold your breath. Thank you!

Submissions

Hi! Bill here. After spending my whole life in the gelato business, I decided to get into writing. I would like to publish things here, so send me stuff! We’ll make a submittable or something eventually, but for now, just send your submissions by email: billgeblato@gmail.com

Guidelines

Simultaneous submissions are cool, just let us know. Make sure to include your pen name and pronouns with your submission. Also, please include a cover letter that includes your bio. Feel free to include a link to your website or other socials, if you want. We aren’t super picky with the cover letter, it doesn’t need to be too formal. We just want to have a good idea of who you are and to be able to share that with our readers. We also aim to elevate LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC voices so if you fall into either category, you are among great company!

We’ll try to respond within a month, but it’s very likely that it will be sooner than that. No payments at the moment, but you’ll recieve our gratitude and we’ll do our best to promote you via our social medias.

There’s not really a specific theme currently, but we appreciate work of all genres and sub-genres. We tend to like reading shorter stuff, but we’ll read longer stuff if it’s good. We have a soft spot for things that reference ice cream, gelato, fro-yo, etc., but that certainly is not required. We’ll look at music and art and whatever else seems cool too. We’ll accept creative work of any kind as long as AI doesn’t have a part in it. Some people like that stuff, we just prefer to read things fully created by humans. In return, we will also not put your work into AI of any kind. If you have anything too intense, we’ll probably give it a trigger warning. Other than that, go hog wild! Thank you! 🍨

Feedback

We know that all writers desire feedback and we’d like to provide that service, but we also have lives and our team is all volunteer. Also, we’d like to eventually be able to pay our authors. Therefore, we have decided to provide the option for paid feedback. If you desire feedback for your submission, send $5 through our Cashapp with Feedback as the note, then add [FEEDBACK] in the subject line of your submission email.
